It may not look austere, but the medieval Alcobaça Monastery was meant to reflect the frugal lifestyle of the Cistercian monks who once inhabited it.

Really impressive church, great place for maybe one or two hours visit. Church is free to watch, monastery is 6 euros. Beautiful to see.

O lugar é lindo e vale a pena conhecer os túmulos da Inês de Castro e de Pedro. O ponto negativo é que a visita de áudio guiada estava indisponível, apesar de estar incluída no preço cobrado.
